Peter Noorman
Peter is geboren in Groningen en woont in Drenthe. Maakt al sinds 1970 Bluegrass muziek, en hij heeft zichzelf 5-snarige banjo, gitaar en contrabas leren spelen.
Banjo speelde hij in verschillende groepen; THE CLINCH MOUNTAIN BACKSTEP, GRASS GROW, en in NORTHERN BLUEGRASS. Ook tijdens zijn 1 ½ jarig verblijf in de USA en Canada speelde hij in diverse lokale Bluegrass groepen als gastmuzikant in Louisiana en Utah.
In THE OLD HOME BLUEGRASS BOYS, en in THE OLD HOME BLUEGRASS BAND speelde hij contrabas. Peter speelt tevens banjo in de band Close to Home.
Favoriete bands zijn THE DILLARDS, THE JOHNSON MOUNTAIN BOYS en THE HILLMEN, DEL McCOURY en andere traditonal Bluegrass groepen en muzikanten.
Peter was born in the province of Groningen and now lives in the province of Drenthe in the Netherlands. He makes Bluegrass music since 1970 and he taught himself playing the 5-string banjo, guitar and the upright bass.
Played banjo in different bands; THE CLINCH MOUNTAIN BACKSTEP, GRASS GROW, and in NORTHERN BLUEGRASS. Also during his 1 ½ year stay in the USA and Canada he played as a guest musician in different local Bluegrass bands in Louisiana and Utah.
He played the upright bass in THE OLD HOME BLUEGRASS BOYS, and THE OLD HOME BLUEGRASS BAND. Peter also plays banjo in the band Close to Home.
His favorite musicians are THE DILLARDS, THE JOHNSON MOUNTAIN BOYS, THE HILLMEN, DEL McCOURY and other traditional Bluegrass Bands and musicians.
